Serena graduated from Mills College in 2015 with a B.S. in Biopsychology. After graduation, she worked as a medical scribe and was an RA for a cognitive psychology lab at Mills, studying the positivity effect/negativity bias in Asian American young adults. In addition to working at New Directions, she is also currently volunteering as hotline and peer counselor for San Francisco Women Against Rape (SFWAR).
