Primary Clinician / Psychological Assistant, CA

Rexford Bloxsom-Carter M.A. is a doctoral candidate at California School of Professional Psychology, specializing in the treatment of children, families, and adults. He received his B.A. in Psychology from University of California Santa Cruz. I work from a collaborative and compassionate stance to help families and individuals build on their strengths and develop new solutions to life’s challenges. I use an integrative and developmental framework to assess struggles and then build goals that fit each individual and family. I have a wide range of training and clinical experiences, with specialized training in early childhood development (0-5), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and psychological assessment. I have worked extensively with strong willed children and teens for over 8 years, and enjoy using creative interventions that foster safety and understanding. In my free time, I often enjoy discovering new restaurants, watching classic foreign films, or restoring bicycles as a part time hobby (something my fiancée loves!). I am very passionate about nature and the outdoors, and have a deep respect for finding balance within our technological driven world.
