New Directions
Florida

With the help of New Directions, young adults who previously failed to thrive are experiencing independence for the first time in their lives.

We provide young adults with the opportunity to pursue higher education and vocational training while taking advantage of our clinical expertise and coordinated support. New Directions helps students attend universities, community colleges, and technical/vocational schools. Our staff works closely with students to provide support for each student’s unique goals. Students live independently in apartments located in close proximity to the New Directions professional offices. New Directions also supports students in developing well-rounded interpersonal skills, in addition to preparing them for the workforce, and in mastering the life skills needed to live independently.

We are located in sunny Deerfield Beach Florida. We are close to the beach and in proximity to many of the exciting activities that South Florida has to offer. For those that are unfamiliar with the area, Deerfield Beach is located along the borderline of Broward and Palm Beach County and sits about one half mile from Boca Raton.

New Directions takes full advantage of our wonderful Deerfield Beach location when planning our social activities. There are many fine dining locations, entertainment outlets, malls, beaches, and outdoor recreation areas within close proximity. Our headquarters is also close in proximity to many schools (i.e., Palm Beach State College, Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University, Broward College, and Nova Southeastern University). In addition, New Directions offers a variety of internships and participation in vocational training is an integral part of our service package and the overall New Directions experience.

Being located in South Florida also allows us to have wonderful outdoor adventures. Please feel free to review our program photos section, where you will see some examples of the great outdoor adventures that are available. These include surfing, snorkeling, national/state/county parks where students can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. Quiet Waters park (please see Ski Rixen) for example is located approximately one mile from our headquarters.
